8-2: It just got worse..

Yes, it really happened. Oh shit.

First up, United were absolutely stunning. The majority of the goals were of the highest class. Hats off, caps doffed etc. etc.

Secondly, Arsenal were absolutely shambolic, there was no leadership, little passion or desire, and no defence what so ever. Johann Djourou has turned into just about as big a liability as Sebastian Squillaci and Armand Traore was a complete embarrassment to the club.

It is in games like this that some youngsters never recover, their confidence too shattered or belief stamped so far into the mud it never re-appears. Carl Jenkinson seems like a happy go-lucky sort of guy, I hope at 19 this game doesn’t mark the point where he stopped rising towards his progression to fulfilling his undoubted potential.

Arsene Wenger should never have put him in that position, maybe the same goes for Traore and definitely Aaron Ramsey – whilst he is obviously talented, he is pissing in the wind at the moment. There is no authority in our midfield, nobody that commands respect. We simply get over-run.

Neglect. It is a strong word that I have used before when it has come to our defence. Arsene hasn’t just neglected our defence, he has neglected our entire team.

Forgive me for not wanting to say much more right now but there will be something of greater detail later on in the week once the transfer window has shut. For now, Arsene has to get his business done, and make sure that it is the ‘super quality’ players he is forever banging on about whilst loading the squad with Chamakh’s, Silvestre’s and Squillaci’s.

The superb away fans deserve better, and have done for some time now. We aren’t asking for miracles. Get it sorted.
