The quickest of quick updates. I have been preparing what is probably one of the lengthiest ever interviews ever conducted by an Arsenal blogger! The interview took place today and Mark Gonnella (Communications Director) was the man I spoke to. It will be published in full tomorrow lunchtime – around 1pm.

Just a brief few things have happened today:
Šime Vrsaljko will not join Arsenal this transfer window according to reports in Croatia. I didn’t think he would however Arsenal executives have been in Croatia. Arsenal have scouted Vrsaljko for quite some time.
Manuel Almunia has a chance of being in the squad to face Huddersfield at the weekend. The general feeling is he will stay until the summer where he will move on. As with last summer, nobody will pay the 1.5 million and the wages he is currently on (50k pw).
It looks like Carlos Vela will be off to Bolton. Valencia have just signed a new forward, leaving Vela with few other options. Talks are apparently scheduled for tomorrow. Lets hope it goes through and he gets gametime.
Peter Hill-Wood has spoken to the Daily Star about Arsenal not needing to spend any money. No, not when it can go to reducing the debt! He even swears a few times in the interview. Oooo word-ism. Sack him! Murdoch will be mustering up the dark forces of hell.
So, that is about it.
1pm tomorrow, don’t miss it.

Arsenal News 24/7

Hill-Wood’s comments smack of arrogance and patronise the fans big styleee. We are doing fine, yeah, but that doesnt mean we will win anything and to be frank, I think if we dont at least sign a defensive minded player to cover the centre back position (and midfield too) then we are seriously gambling on Djourou staying fit, Vermealen coming back ahead of shedule and then being match sharp startight away and staying fit as well and Song not getting banned or injured.
That for me is hoping for good lucvk that we never get and Wenger choosing to gamble like that is what bugs the shit out of me! We are doing fantastically well, yet we are chronically short at the back and the manager has admitted that much, yet due to a complete reluctance to spend the necessary funds yet again to add to the squad this season of great promise could go tits up.
Lettuce pray
Thought they were quite funny myself, especially considering he will be in for one HELL of a pay-day when the debt is extinguished + club sold.

Glad you enjoyed em mate! I think the were pretty incendary considering that WEnger himself said we need to strengthen only to back track and muddy the waters over and over again!
sime deal is not dead according rumours out of croatia.
After several glasses of Taylors ’63 Hill-Wood is a loose cannon.
The difference between the fans and our esteemed chairman is we want to win something this year- and not just the club who charges the highest entrance fees and spends least on strengthening their squad prize. We are one injury away from falling by the wayside again as per the last 3 years.
