So the season is over.

Like I said yesterday the season review will be up on the blog in the coming days, it will take some time to put it all together but I’m pretty sure the final verdict will involve the words ‘signings’. ‘urgently’ and ‘needed’ – possibly succeeding each other word for word.

We all know the score now, player after player linked to the club – it also seems that the boss will certainly moving early this summer to get his team together, after the game yesterday he said something along the lines of ‘come to the Emirates Cup in the summer and you will see the players’. Lets hope its not just season ticket renewal spin.

Craig Gordon is a name that has been linked to the club a fair few times before – the first time was just before he moved to Sunderland for some 9 million quid, steep for a player who was still pretty young for a keeper and untested at the highest level. Its safe to say he is now a pretty decent keeper and I would certainly take him over Almunia and Fabianski, he wouldn’t command much more than that original 9 million so he is definitely a player I wouldn’t mind seeing in the red and white.

Its just another goalkeeper that has been linked with us over the past few weeks…Hugo Lloris, Sebastian Frey, Joe Hart and Kasper Schemeichel are names the tabloids have pulled out the random name generator and thrown them into articles linking them with us.

We should see a new goalkeeper this summer… will it be one of the above? Possibly, you can’t rule out the boss keeping Almunia and Fabianski though, and if that happens there will be people wanting him out, no doubts about it.
