Marouane Chamakh set to join? Melo for Senderos? + Fixtures

Morning all, just some more of that speculation stuff today, I’m afraid.

Yesterday Philippe Auclair, talking to TalkSport, said that Bordeaux forward Marouane Chamakh is set to join Arsenal for around 7 million. Philippe spoke about Andrey Arshavin on the same radio show in January, saying he would sign and we all know what happened. He is respected in the football world and seems to get a lot of things right. Lets see what happens.

From the video posted on Gunnerblog it looks like he is very good technically but not the best of finishers. YouTube is shit for analysing players though.

The Daily Mail follow up yesterdays article on Wenger going after Felipe Melo with another suggesting Senderos will be used in any deal between the sides. Part of me hopes this is true, the other part of me feels that the dirty piece of rag that is the Daily Mail is dreaming up any possible link around in the hope they get one right.

The fixtures were released yesterday and all in all, they are not too bad. Some blogs think they are fantastic, others think they are crap. One thing is for sure and that is the season will be hectic with two weeks being cut off the end of the season due to the World Cup. Cheers, FIFA.

The start is not the easiest but we have to get as many points on the board before Christmas as possible, we have a very, very tough ten days in January/Feburary where we face Liverpool, Chelsea and Man United. This could be seen as a plus point though as these fixtures allow for a decent run at the end of the season and in theory our ‘big’ games will be out of the way for the Champions League knockout phase.

I will leave you with a video of Chamakh, what do you think of him, and the fixtures for next season? I don’t know what to make of all this to be honest.

Hurry up August 15th, please.

’till tomorrow.
