Arsenal 2 Hull 1 – Brown bitter and a disgrace to the game

Posted on March 18, 2009 by Martin @ thegoonblog.com

Morning all: been an eventful evening to say the least.

First the game; it was tough fought but we were deserving of our victory in the end, even Hull’s constant time-wasting did not mean time ran out to soon for us to grab the winner. A bit of Karma bit Hull in the arse last night, they constantly wasted time, every time their keeper had the ball he deliberately wasted as much time as he possibly could. This came back and royally fucked them over when the ball took the slightest touch off Djourou and then the keeper for Gallas to head home the winner after Robin Van Persie’s equaliser.

See the goals here.

After the game a very, very bitter Phil Brown said this to the Setanta cameras:

“For their club captain – Cesc Fabregas – to spit at my assistant-manager at the end of the game just shows you what this club is about.”

You what? Well you can fuck right off Mr Brown, enjoy the championship next season because all you have done this season is prove what an utter nob you look with that ridiculous fucking headset round your noggin. You ought to be ashamed of yourself.

If Cesc did it why hasn’t their assistant manager come in front of the cameras and accused Fabregas?

It is worth noting that immediately after the incident Cesc came out and said it was not true:

“I categorically deny that I spat at anybody after the match. I have never done this in my whole career on the pitch, so why would I do it when I am not even playing? I can understand the frustration of losing a game to a dubious goal, that has happened to me many times in my career as well. But this is not the fault of me or any of the Arsenal play”

Right, i believe him. He did not do it and its Phil Brown and his cronies looking to drag our name through the mud.

They can fuck off. I am going to listen to a Phil Brown interview on 5live at half past 10 and see if he retracts his comments.

The one thing that has really really really really pissed me off is the fact that he has criticised our fans of getting on the back’s of their players. Isnt that part of being a football fan?

What is wrong with giving the opposition some stick?

Fuck Hull. Fuck Phil Brown and his stupid headset. Fuck Nick Barmby. Fuck his stupid assistant manager and fuck their claims.

They are unfounded and total and utter bollocks.

We then have this tit writing something on a game he obviously didn’t watch! Fuck him too.

Then, some stupid fucking journo says that Nick Barmby can give Arsenal fans a lesson in loyalty! Who the fuck are Hull City? Who the fuck is Oliver Brown – the author?

Jesus christ the world is mad. Why does everyone insist on bad mouthing our football club? After all, we did go through a season unbeaten and the jealousy must still be rife.

This stinks of unsettling us in the FA cup too. Fuck off Rafael – who the fuck are you anyway?

What gives these people the right to judge our football club? A club that has brought some of the world’s best players to these shores and helped the Premier League become one of the best in the world. It makes me sick and angry because this club does not deserve it, Wenger gets dissed every time he stands up for something but when Fergie does it its ‘funny’.

It is despicable.

Now beware of the media witch-hunt that will surround Fabregas and Arsenal over the coming weeks; you just wait.

One last word in this very angry post goes to the referee last night – it was the poorest game of so called officiating i have ever seen.

Lets just say if he had his dick out as many times as his notebook he would have every STI going.

Right, i will leave it there before i get sued or something. ‘Til tomorrow.

How right u are but ur swearing almost ruined ur beautifully crafted article for me. There is no need for that.

I think Phil Brown is despicable and should be ashamed of himself. All I can say is that he has learnt well from his mentor Mr ‘bigfoot’ Sam Allardyce the ogre.

The way to solve all this spitting issue is for Mr Horton to present his shoes for DNA analysis if Mr Phil Brown’s statement that Horton’s feet were spat at.

This man doesn’t deserve to be a premiership manager and the sooner he and his ugly team got back to the Championship and even beyond, the better for all of us.

personally i think all this negative press is quite good for arsenal. that’s because it creates an us and them mentality and at a time when we’re coming into some great form and have great players coming back i think it will galvinise our team even more.

i think if we can keep this good form up until the end of the season then it will convince our best players to stay even if we don’t win anything. when you see the likes of nasri and arshavin playing SO fucking well right now, why can’t we challenge for all the trophies again next year even if we don’t win any this?

frankly nasri looks better and better with every game, he’s a stunningly talented player and he’s only going to get better. arshavin already looks a world beater and is also improving in every game. toure has returned to the toure of old at last and finally looks top class again. almunia has been a rock for the last 18 months. rosicky is one of our best players and isn’t far from returning. eduardo is basically fit again. walcott is improving each year and should be really dangerous next season. vela will also improve. sagna is top class. clichy will surely run out of his bad form sooner or later. song is really improving now and playing well more consistently. denilson has been really good most of the time recently as well. christ even eboue has been scoring goals (oh lord!).

so when you take that team and add a top form gallas, top form rvp and cesc fabregas, i don’t see why they should have any reason to think arsenal are not good enough next season. and you see gallas’ and rvp’s reactions to their goals and they looked so pleased, i really think it’s a good sign. now let’s get rvp on a shit long contract and i think gallas and cesc will see life here at the emirates is going to be laden with trophies extremely soon.

cesc is not only one of the greatest footballers to grace the premier league (and he is only 21), but he is one of the most decent, honest people to play football in this country. i can tell this from his interviews and just about everyone associated with him has said the same. he would never spit at anyone as he said and he wasnt even within “spitting range” of this pillock.

i believe we will win something this season and next season the great arsenal will once more be globally feared (with the help of another defender/defensive midfielder). if you look at our options, wenger will have to rotate big time and i believe that this team will have the most strength in depth next year than arsenal have had in a very long time. if you look at our midfield: walcott rosicky fabregas nasri arshavin woluld be my 1st choice with robin up front
