I tell you what, Arsene needs some new spectacles or a decent pair of contact lenses because one thing is for certain, he is on planet zog when it comes to this team. After the shambolic performance yesterday he said;
“Our attitude was spot on and overall we had great determination and put them under pressure.”
Our attitude was shit, we had no urgency at all. Anyone can see that. We did not want to win that game as much as Sunderland wanted a result out of us, all after it started so brightly with Arshavin getting a start, having a couple of fizzing chances and then Robin Van Persie missing a chance that he would normally have stuck away. Lets just say if it was Eduardo there i would have steaked a hell of a lot of money of the ball ending up in the back of the net.
Moan about their defensive tactics Arsene, moan about the referee, moan about the pitch, moan about the rough tackles, moan about injuries but just accept this.
We. are. not. good. enough.
If we can’t beat Sunderland, West Ham, Hull and Sp*rs at home we don’t deserve to be in the top four at the end of the season, even if we have beaten Man United and Chelsea. What does that count for when we slip up to the (with all due respect), shit teams.
We have a midfield with the creativity of a brick barring Andrey, Our other main creative players simply do not turn up sometimes. Van Persie didn’t really feel like it today by the looks of things, Nasri was anonymous and you would have needed a bloody secret agent to track down Niklas Bendtner.
Our crossing was woeful, Sagna was good in defence but whenever he crossed the halfway like he left his talent in the other half of the pitch. It says something when a central defender is your most attacking forward in the last minutes of a game doesn’t it? Yes, I’m on about William Gallas.
We are looking fine in defence but what good are 0-0′s doing to us? I would much prefer a 3-2 scoreline because we would actually get three points. Its been FOUR games without a win now in the league and in all competitions we have scored five goals in the last six games, with four coming all in one game.
Its truly despicable.
I have been trying to be upbeat but every time i try i get disappointed, sooner or later people are going to snap and Arsenal, there is no point in freezing the season ticket prices for a fourth year running because at this rate, there are going to be spare ones next season if we are not careful. Fans are getting really narked at this team not giving 100% and living their cushy lifestyles with their bleached hair, cars with ’25′ embroided on their seats, slick motors and pink, orange, green and powder puff boots. Joe Bloggs out there is listening to another six thousand people getting laid off and becoming unemployed, going back to their families saying they might lose the very roof over their heads.
Will they really care about a bunch of overpaid thick twats kicking a football about? Especially if they are not even trying.
Everyone that watches football, be it at the ground, pub, armchair or radio is paying a tiny bit towards these players wages, its escapism, but its getting to the point where people are thinking, you know what. Fuck em!
If they gave away a weeks wages between everyone that has lost their job in the last few weeks they would be much, much more comfortable. For example, if Ade really is earning 110K a week, that would probably keep every family that has had someone laid off in the past month fed for an entire year.
A message to all the Arsenal players.
At least look as if your trying? Please? Hell, you might even need more Mango moisturiser to soften those legs of yours that may get caked in mud?
Sort it out, or fans will vote with their feet.
Sorry, many fans won’t agree with me im sure, not many do. Its what i think, i reckon its true. Do you?
Up the Gunners.
Til Tomorrow.

Arsenal News 24/7

Sad but true.
Well said.
you know the more you tell AW he is wrong, the more he digs his toes in. The last two league matches, I have gone back to bed (Aussie time) before the final whistle knowing we ain’t gonna score. Am I missing something or is Vela yet another waste of space ?
So I suppose you want AW to paraphrase what you’ve just said publically. Can’t you see that would further destabilise the team and give the press a field day. True, we’ve not been good enough this season, but only one team can win the league. We’ve had some unbelievably bad luck with key injuries over the last three years, and this season it seems a large proportion of our creative players have been unavailable. This probably explains the lack of goals.
We should support the team through thick and thin. I don’t believe your attitude and that of supporters who openly voice the same views as you, is going to help the team in anyway. Eventually the players and manager won’t feel supported by the fans and they’ll move on, which will probably result in us being at the Tottscum end of the table.
Lets get the invalid`s back for a while and see how we go with the best we can put on the paddock then, if the results are the same ,Wenger should think about moving on.
Sorry Arsene but unless there`s something you`re not telling us you appear to have lost the plot.
Maybe Usmanov ain`t such a bad idea after all, that would bring Dein close to the camp and, who knows, he might patch it up with the Board. Something has to change.
Ok, let’s just blame it all on injuries, same as last season. It’s just injuries we’re a great team, just unlucky.
While we’re at it, let’s just throw away the next four seasons, none of our ‘future stars’ will develop til then anyway – that is if they do improve meaningfully.
Bye Rvp, no one can blame you, the team is shite as you already know.
Hey steve d the first part of fixing a problem is admitting you have one. We as supporters have every right to question what is happening at our club. Yes we have had a bad run with injuries, but we have also sold the experienced backbone of a great team and replaced it with possible future stars. Have you seen Manure do this ? AW is not god and he has made some serious errors, this does not mean we don’t support him or the club but he is in serious denial this year and he can’t contiually blame the oppositions negative tactics, the referee and the economy
I think the majorty of you are being overly pessimistic – i ve watched every arsenal game this season and we played REALLY well last night . Arshavin looked awesome – denilson was the best player on the pitch – we had some great chances to win the game particulary with RVP chipping wide with an open goal vacant and Vela missing from 6 yrd out again with pretty much the whole goal open towards the end of the game. Fulop also made some great saves to deny Arshavins fierce left footed drive from the edge of the box with his fingers early in the game, Bentenders header from Arshavins cross and RVP’s injury time low shot. We REALLY needed all 3 points today esp with Villa losing to CHElsea but I was really proud of the effort the guys made on the pitch today , and Le Boss’s lastest recruit looks like pure class ! we played well today just not well enough but I still feel we can snatch 4th from Villa once we have more of the players back and still have a great run in the CL and FA. ARSENE KNOWS ! COMON YOU GUNNERS !
p.s oz gooner if you cant watch your team thru the tough times I suggest supporting one of your A league teams back home so you don t have to struggle to stay awake and battle the time difference.
Totally agree with you. I said a couple of weeks ago that Arsenal needed new direction but every other arsenal fan was quick to condemn me but I guess that now you are now seeing the situation more clearly
Lets not blame it on Vela now ok..
He’s one of the bright sparks in the team who actually tries..
I forgive him for those misses..he’s still 19 and AW simply hasnt given him much time on the field anyway..
Why does AW still insist on nasri being on the left .. The only footballer we have pulling of that role is vela ..
With so many injuries Vela has been given a rough trot so far.. He’s far more talented tand far more creative than eboue and song put together but yet Vela comes off with the short end of the stick..
Its time for a new manager with fresh ideas
