Sorry, i really could not resist.
Advocaat wants the deal done, Arsenal want the deal done but it seems Zenit want to take their time. They issued a deadline of last night but it seems they have broken their own curfew as the saying goes.
I really am sick to the back teeth of the Arsh-a-go-round, the sooner a ‘yes’ or ‘no’ is said the better? Maybe Noel Edmonds could be brought in to sort this deal out?
Advocaat is running out of patience, saying here
“I hope that, with regard to Arshavin we will have finally taken some action. The whole story takes too long – It is time to give a final answer, clearly say – yes or no. I hope that the club would say. It would be better for Andrey, and for the team.”
I think it would be better for everyone.
Onto Cardiff tomorrow and i think we will win this one and rest a few key players. Wenger hinted that Gibbs will start at left back,
“Maybe Gibbs [will play at left back],”
And with Gallas in contention we could see either Toure or Djourou rested. I would also not be supised to see Denilson rested as he has made the most appearances this season and the more tired he gets the greater chance he has of picking up a knock.
Bendtner will probably start up front with Van Persie getting a rest because, quite frankly if he is injured, we are fucked.
Arsene has been generous of Aaron Ramsey’s praise recently, and Friday he again spoke of the youngsters talent,
“I’m very happy with Aaron and I believe he will be a very important player for the Club. He is ahead of schedule and I’m impressed by what he has done by now but he is only 18.â€
Whilst he also pointed out, he won’t let sentiment interfere with his selection,
“We go there to qualify, the most important thing is that the team goes out on Sunday and plays to win the game.
“I love Aaron Ramsey and I believe he will be a great player for Arsenal Football Club but we don’t go there for a testimonial.”
I think he will get some part to play in the game, hopefully he can grab a goal.
The NOTW is again chugging out articles printed months ago, this one about Robin Van Persie’s contract renewal, he will get a contract, and probably a big pay rise on his 65,000 a week. God, what do they do with all their money?
We have also been linked to Micah Richards, even if this is true its a bad bad move. He is not a patch on the player of two seasons, or even a season ago. He has loads of potential but he is regressing rather than progressing at the moment.
On the line up, im expecting something along the lines of this;
Fabianski, Sagna, Toure, Djourou, Gibbs, Nasri, Song, Diaby, Eboue, Bendtner, Adebayor
Back to Owly-Russian and Gooner Talk says that he is due to arrive within two days, i think its all guess work at the moment. The Russian press come up with a story, the English regurgitate it with a few amendments and its just one big game of Chinese Russian whispers.
Right, im sadly going to miss the game i think, i will do my utmost to get some highlights down my throat for my next post.
Til Then Arshfans.

Arsenal News 24/7

nothing definite? i’m off then.
The cheapest trick ever. Ill remember not to read this shit again.
An apology of a blog.
I couldn’t sleep all night. I kept on dreaming to wake up this moring and find we have a new ‘GONNER” in our midst. This whole Arshavin saga is not good for all i hope we get it over and done with or if not we move on to something else
I think in my opinion that the deal is not done, otherwise you should acknowledge for how many years he has signed for Arsenal.
This seems to be a misleading information guys!
Cld u pls stop dis nonsense of blog.
fyou. stupid attempt at humour.
When will this debacle finally end, if Arshavin wants to come let him come so that we can finally continue with our campaign ……….
dis is a case of abandoning “reason” for “idiocy”. u dont av a go @ d blogger jst bcos some shitheads are playing “mind games” with arsenal and its fans, y’all gon’ come here first wen d deal’s finally done i kno for sure. arsenal fans are a bunch of fickles. kno dat
what a total cunt of an idea… sorry i couldn’t resist
Wow, what a typically measured response from Arsenal fans.
I think the real question is do we actually need Arshavin? I hope Wenger purchases another left footed Dutch striker in the transfer window, preferably named Robin. That’s what the team is really lacking at the moment. If only we had a player like that already at the club.
Some of you obviously do not grasp the concept of humour.
If you believed it, more fool you.
stupid, attention seeking headline
what a fucking cream puff. this blog is shite
Come on, don’t take this too seriously, and The Goon’s quite a decent blog.
Goonblogger …. a very silly headline when you know how we are all waiting for some REAL news. As for the response of your blog readers …. there are some very stupid f**ckers reading your blog.
zenits revised fee is 17m and we are still only willing to stick to our 12+3 offer …however usmanov has stated that he is ready to join the negotiations ‘if needs be’. He is on the board of gazprom, the company that have holdings in Zenit and is willing to put up the 2 million needed for the deal to go through. Life.ru and sovsport.ru both reporting that the deal is virtually done and should be confirmed today 26th jan 09.
