£14 Million And We Will Have An Arshavin Deal
Posted on by Martin @ thegoonblog.com

With a £10 million offer for the Russian having been rejected its probable that Zenit are holding out for about £14 million. They know that Arshavin is worth nowhere near as much as £20 million because of his age, and the fact that he is not proven at the very highest level.

The weakness of the pound will also not affect negotiations as the Russian’s still deal in Rubels, thus meaning its a lower price for us than it would be if we were paying in Euro’s, to the British pound you can get 46 Rubels, whereas to the Euro you only get 41.

This of course, goes in our favour.

We are the only club in negotiations with Zenit, despite their petty attempts and the inevitable rumor about Man Citeh that my right nut could have made up. If they brought every player they came up with they would have enough to start off their own little country.

God that doesn’t bare thinking about.

But anyway, we would get preference over any European bidders because of our currency (odd though it may seem), and i really do feel we could have him signed by the end of the week, it really is needed because our creativity was really shown up this weekend.

There have also been rumors about a move for Sebastian Battaglia. They are totally false, the information that the News Of The World used was,

His agent confirmed interest from a London club, plus two from Italy.

This is just an excuse to make up a story that was released last year on Goal.com.

In fact, they use that exact phrase i quoted.

Also, that dispicable bastard Kevin Davies has had a go at us, calling us cheats,

“In my eyes that is cheating the referee, they have conned him, but they are good at than and you just have to get on with the game.”

So what about elbowing our players around the field, the bloke is a bigger hypocryte than Alex Ferguson. He thinks we were just trying to get him booked the entire game, has it ever occured to him that assault is worthy of a prison sentence, so it is at least, meriting of a yellow card.

“Sometimes it feels like they are trying to earn you a booking, which is bit disappointing and in some of the challenges, I felt that I won the ball, A few of them let out a big scream, which is a bit embarrassing really because it is a man’s game.”

Toure did one, and he is big, strong man. He was screaming ‘my leg’ which is a bit unnecessary – but they get the free-kicks.”

Will someone just shoot this idiot please.

On that note i will leave it, leave your insults Kevin Davies in the comments!

Til’ next time.
